We are the West Berkshire Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Everyone is cordially invited to join us for a circular walk of approx. 5 miles starting at The Vine PH in the village of Hannington, by kind permission of David and Cynthia, followed by a wonderful festive feast at the end of the end of the walk.
We will climb up to Watership Down to enjoy the view, crossing the route of Portway, the Roman road that linked London and Old Sarum, before passing an ancient settlement and Kingsclere Arial. Following the edge of the escarpment for nearly 2 miles before following field paths to return to Hannington.
Please note: members are very welcome to book for the walk alone, the meal alone, or both the walk and the meal. If you are going to enjoy the Festive Fare at the Pub please follow the instructions on the booking form for food choices and payment of the deposit. The two course meal is £24.95 and the three course meal is £29.95.
