We are a very active and friendly Ramblers group. Our programme explores the most attractive countryside in the surrounding area including the Surrey Hills.
Train from Staines at 08.28 arrives Bexley at 10.17. Meet at Waterloo Station at seating on the concourse near platform 24 for our onward journey. Fares: one day travelcard is £14.10 (with senior discount) and two singles will be £9.35 (with senior discount). Therefore two singles is the best option. People, where possible, should book their return singles to Ashford or Staines online to prevent the possibility of missing a train at the end of each day.
This is the second walk of the London Loop and starts by following the River Cray. We continue to Foots Cray and Sidcup Place for a pub/picnic lunch. The afternoon goes via Scadbury Park, Park Wood and Petts Wood. The afternoon is a bit more up and down than the morning which is mainly flat.
I would like to know by 19:00 on the Friday before the walk who will be eating at the pub at lunchtime.
