A walk-with-talks discovering the 'Dark Side' of London...7.3 miles with frequent stops for talks about the scandalous and criminal goings-on in London over the centuries.
The route is flat, all pavement walking, so expected dry underfoot - but well-cushioned footwear advisable!
Allow about 6 hours overall, to include stops and lunch break - assuming a good pace between stops.
Route: A roughly figure-of-eight walk starting at Charing Cross Station, St Giles, Covent Garden, Strand, Trafalgar Square, Haymarket, Leicester Square, back through Trafalgar Square into Whitehall, Westminster, finishing Trafalgar Square or Charing Cross Station.
Meet on Charing Cross Railway Station concourse at 10.15. Toilets inside the Station.
Lunch: Choice of venues in Trafalgar Square/Whitehall area.
Finish: Trafalgar Square/Charing Cross. Numerous drop-out points along the way.
