We are the Hike Essex Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
This a longer personal walk as part of the Way My Way series of walks to introduce cricket grounds I have been involved with. It also takes many parts of the Colchester Orbital.
This is a walk for everyone not just cricket fans.
The walk will take in stops at 4 cricket venues with a short symposium at each. It will reflect on how they have fared, how they differ and what the future holds for them. We take in some of the woodlands of Colchester, which complements the urban landscape and is an example of what can (surprisingly) be found in a town / city.
Walk is on pathways, so walking shoes are recommended. There won’t be a lunch stop, but there will be options to refresh at the 4 cricket ground stops. There will also be the option of a pub stop at the end.

Meeting point is outside the main entrance of Colchester train station (North not Town). If parking there, fees are £5.20.
