Overview

Walk details:
The walk will start from the roadside walking down into the valley towards Pensax before turning off towards Ridding Coppice towards Stockton on Teme and then Standford Bridge where we will stop for lunch near the river. We will then walk along the river before climbing back up towards Pensax going through Menith wood through Pensax village towards the trig point dropping down again before climbing back up towards the Bell. The walk has a variety of woods, farm tracks and country road and has a lot of ascent and descent.

Parking, there is a layby on the B4202 up the road from The Bell pub. Leaving Bewdley on the A456 travel straight ahead until you come to Clows Top, turn left at the cross junction onto the B4202. Travel for a couple of miles passing a sign to Pensax carrying straight on there will be a layby on the right side just before the next right turn and before the Bell pub on the left. If you pass the Bell you have gone too far. Parking not plentiful so numbers will be restricted and please park sensibly. (Parking abridged version: Layby opposite the Bell Inn (just before the pub on the right when traveling from Bewdley)).
