The circular walk starts from the car park through a residential area, crossing a bridge over looking the A465 then for a short distance along the road onto the old tramroad. Climbing over a style the track will take us up to a now disused reservoir, which was built during the 18 hundreds to provide clean water for the people of Brynmawr during a cholera epidemic. We will follow a sheep trail up to a trig point and cairn. Here we will have a tea break when we can enjoy the amazing 360 degree view over the moors and Usk valley. From the point we will follow another sheep trail will take us across the moorland, and before us we will see the lonely shepherd. Lunch will be taken here. After lunch we branch right onto a smooth grass path walking beneath the ridge of the gorge. This will lead us onto a down ward path where we will join the tramroad which we will follow back to Brynmawr, as we walk along we will be looking over the Clydach Gorge and heads of the valley road. there will be sheep around and dogs must be on a lead.
