Overview

Following valleys to the west of Chesham through rolling farmland and strips of woodland to a pub in the Village of The Lee.  Please bring a packed lunch.

Starting through the valley of Herbert's Hole towards Ballinger Bottom.  On the way, we'll pass through a gate the group bought in memory of former group member Jeremey.

The village of The Lee and its newly renovated pub, The Cock and Rabbit, doubles as the village of Midsomer on the ITV series Midsomer Murders.  Continuing via the Lee's twin Churches and heading towards the villages Ballinger Common and South Heath where we explore the ancient earthworks with a moat and ramparts of Redding Wick woods and following the ridge back to Chesham.
