We are the Devon Bootlegs Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Starting at 10.00am from Squabmoor Car Park. This is only a small car park so car sharing recommended. If it is full, there is another car park (Wheathill Plantation) just up the road, use that & walk back down to Squabmoor.
This is a strenuous 12.5mls, wet & muddy in places & lots of uneven ground so stout footwear is recommended!
We will start by visiting Squabmoor Reservoir, then on to Bystock Nature Reserve before heading onto the open common, taking in the Gibraltar Stone, the infamous Sheep Dip and various other parts of the Royal Marines Endurance Course (participation not required)!
There is also a bat hibernatum.
On a clear day, there are beautiful views & the walk itself is very varied.
