We are the Hammersmith, Fulham & Wandsworth Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
A medium to brisk pace walk following the Wandle Trail from Wandsworth Town Station via the Wandle Delta, King George's Park, Earlsfield and Merton Abbey Mills to Morden Hall Park.
There may be a toilet stop in the Southside Shopping Centre approximately half an hour into the walk.
Lunch can be had at the end of the walk in the cafe at Morden Hall Park, or else bring a picnic to eat in the park.
It is possible to join the walk at Earlsfield Station at 10.15. If you would like to do this, please email the walk leader to let her know. Punctuality is vital.
Travel: Waterloo 8.52, Clapham Junction 9.06, arriving Wandsworth Town 9.08.
This walk is scheduled on the final weekend of the Wandle Fortnight.
Anyone wishing to complete the entire Wandle Trail to Wandle Park tram stop (in total a 12.5 mile walk with various drop out points) should join Rose's walk which will start from the Snuff Mill in Morden Hall Park about an hour after this one ends.
Meet at Wandsworth Town Railway Station.
Finish at Morden Hall Park. Morden Underground Station (Northern Line), Phipps Bridge tramlink stop and various bus routes are all nearby. Or join the second half of the Wandle Trail walk from the Snuff Mill.
