Overview

A varied walk which includes three scenic villages where thatched cottages line narrow lanes and small greens. The walk takes you across fields and passes through parts of the emerging Heart of England forest. Extensive new woods and copses have been established and ponds and barns have been restored. Joint walk with Sandwell Ramblers.

We leave the meeting point in Walsall promptly at 08:30am.  The start time is the time the actual walk is due to start.
We regret we cannot allow dogs other than registered assistance dogs on Walsall Group walks.
Booking is not necessary for this walk.
Car sharing recommended due to restricted parking space.  The parking area is 5 minutes walk from the walk start point. Do not use the car park by the pub.
Please notify the leader if you intend to travel direct to the walk start.
Walkers will need a packed lunch.

The walk starts in front of The Bell Inn in Welford CV37 8EB. There is street parking in Church Lane just below the Bell Inn or by Welford on Avon Primary School on Headland Road CV37 8ER. Park as near to the church as possible. The parking on Headland Road is only 5 minutes walk to the walk starting point. M5 to junction 4, A38 towards Bromsgrove/Worcester to A448 junction, A448 to junction with A441, follow signs for Stratford through Redditch and Studley to join A46, continue towards Stratford to crossroads then take next turning on R (signed Binton), drive through Binton to B439, turn R then immediately L (signed Welford), keep ahead to Bell Inn, turn R and park near church and walk back to pub.
