Overview

A circular walk with about 5 hours actual walking led by Thomas G (Mobile No: 07775 676092) joint with Kensington, Chelsea & Westminster Group.  Map: E181, L165.

Route: Roads and footpaths to St Mary's Church, then follow Ridgeway and Hogtrough Lane into woods, up through Barn Wood then footpaths through Lordling Wood, byway south to Lee Gate, then Chiltern Way and Chiltern Link to The Lee, then into wood, turn N to Lee Common, then NW and N to Swan Bottom, back into Lordling Wood but turn NW immediately to Grim's Ditch on Cock's Hill, footpaths through Hale Wood, down to and back up from The Hale to ascend through Wendover Woods past Go Ape site, narrow forest paths then skirting around Boddington Hill Iron Age Hillfort an broad tracks, steep descent into Wendover. Lunch: picnic but numerous pubs and cafés in Wendover at end of walk.
