Tiger Bay Ramblers (TBR) is a walking group for people of working age. It is based in Cardiff but walks across South Wales and beyond.
Another chance to do a circular walk from Llanvaches, near Penhow. We ascend gradually via several fields, paths and a short section of quiet road. We continue our accent, past Wentwood reservoir into the woodland taking in some lovely autumn colours . We return to the Grey Hill path, ascending to the top where we will get some great views of the Bristol Channel and both Severn bridges. We retrace our steps for a short distance, then pick up a woodland path descending to the south side of Grey Hill and returning to our start point through fields.
travelling from Cardiff area and leaving the M4 and J28 to follow the A48 to Chepstow look out for the Penylan kennel sign after you pass the Rock and Fountain pub. The left turn for Llanvaches is just after this. Turn sharp left into Tabernacle Road, turning right at the T junction into the village. Meeting point is the benches/ Notice Board at the village centre. Please park considerably on-street.
