Overview

A walk linking less frequently visited  parts of the Forest, starting and finishing by crossing the Royal Ashdown Forest Golf Course.  We will head for Goat Cross and then make our way to Birch Grove before starting our return towards the Forest Centre where we will have lunch.  We then loop back to Forest Row.

There is one unavoidable, short stretch which will probably be very wet and muddy.  Gaiters and/or walking sticks could be useful in their own ways.
Please text the leader if you would like to join this walk and bring a picnic lunch, but it should be possible to buy hot drinks and/or cake at the Forest Centre.
