Overview

Starting from the quaint village of Wetton, the walk passes through Wetton Mill (cafe and toilets) where we stop for a short break. Next we ascend Ottoms Hill before lunch and then follow a scenic route into the picturesque village of Butterton where we stop at the Black Lion Inn for a drink. We then walk back through Hillsdale and onto Wetton via Thor's Cave (optional steep walk up to Thor's Cave although not part of recci). The walk involves varied scenery, some roadside walking, fields, farmland and villages.

Please note on the recci the walk was very muddy in parts with some uneven rocky paths, some steep hill inclines, cows and livestock in fields. Lunch required. Pease note earlier start time.
