Overview

BOOKING REQUESTED

A varied walk across fields, moors, along lanes, though woodland and alongside a reservoir. From Whaley Bridge south to Toddbrook Reservoir, and on to Lane Head Farm and Gap House, then north to Kishfield Bridge and the Dipping Stone, a medieval boundary stone.  After crossing Whaley Lane, across fields to Yeardsley Hall, south to Ringstone Clough and back to Whaley Bridge via Stonehead, Slatersbank Wood and the reservoir. Risk assessment: several steep ascents, several stiles, a couple of which are awkward, muddy in places after rain, sheep in fields, one short section of a fast road without a pavement, some walking on very quiet minor roads.
