We are the Cleveland Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Setting out in the shadow of beautiful Whitby Abbey this walk is a circular route of about 6 miles.
From the car park we walk inland with vast views of Whitby, past the town's oldest house, then east on to the quiet coastal road.
Using farm tracks and footpaths, we pass Brook House, Ling Hill Farm, Beacon Hill and Whitby Laithes, emerging on the cliff at Widdy Head.
The Cleveland Way is then followed N and W past the Hawsker lighthouse and fog horn to Saltwick and back to Whitby Abbey.
There will be a ten minute break. Please feel free to bring a drink/snack to enjoy.

Meet in the main car park near Whitby Abbey. Car parking is free during the winter months. There is a small charge to use the toilets.
