We are the Arun-Adur Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
From Whiteways car park, head through Houghton Forest climbing steadily on a good track before taking path NE (Barkhale Wood). From here the route is undulating before descending steeply towards the road up Bignor Hill (3mi). We leave the road again to follow a path across fields to West Burton where we rejoin the road for 0.5mi before a steep ascent on a path up Bury Hill. The route descends gradually for the final mile to the car park.
Woodland and open downland. Some quiet country lanes.
The steep sections are likely to be slippy (especially after rain) - poles might be useful.
