A walk to May Hill from the Wilderness taking the Gloucestershire Way as a guide via Abenhall Church and Longhope. After lunch on May Hill joining the Wysis Way and back to the top of Plump Hill via Mitcheldean. Public parking near the Wilderness. joint Leader Roxy
A great deal of up and down upon this Forest of dean walk covering farm land as well as forested areas. Reaching lunch at a height od 298 metres and a trig point to spot and views down the river Severn should delight the eyes.
Car park is about 125 metres off the main road. Turn at the Wilderness sign - in the direction it is pointing.
