Overview

Starting from the parking area outside St Christophers Church in Winfrith Newburgh, we follow the Purbeck Way along Winfrith Drove, eventually turning right at the ridge to reach Daggers Gate. Its then mostly downhill to Chaldon Herring before we climb up to the Five Mary's and back along the ridge to our start point.

There is limited parking outside the church, so please car share, if possible, or park considerately in the village.

Mud, mud, glorious mud. Yes, it will be muddy, so please wear suitable footwear and walking poles would be beneficial.

We will have a coffee and lunch stop, so please bring a picnic. There are no facilities at the start or enroute. 

Please see the website after 7pm on the previous evening to check that the walk has not been cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances or bad weather.
