We are the Somer Valley Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.

A mixture of terrain in the locality of Clutton, including fields, woods, tracks and lanes. At St Stephen's Hill we can visit the waterfall and then walk the track used in filming Robin Hood in the 1980's. Crossing the road we get a frontal view of the old work house before walking gentle fields with sheep and quiet cattle. An opportunity to visit the 'Rip Van Winkle of Churches' ( quote: John Betjeman) before returning back to Clutton. Although the route steers clear of some known muddy paths there will be muddy areas so please wear sturdy boots and expect to get some mud on your trousers! A generally flat walk with one hill to climb at your own pace.
Please bring a drink and a light picnic.
Venus Lane, Clutton, outside the Village Hall. Please note: we do not have permission to park in the village hall car park but there is plenty of parking in Venus Lane. Please park with consideration to residents. Meet outside the Village Hall.
