Tiger Bay Ramblers (TBR) is a walking group for people of working age. It is based in Cardiff but walks across South Wales and beyond.
This is walk 8 of the "Lower Wye Rambles" book (albeit with a slightly modified ending). From the start point, it heads north to Cleddon, with views over the river Wye, before looping east past the Cleddon Falls and heading to Pen-y-Fan (not that Pen-y-Fan), where we loop back through Manor Woods and return to the start point. A nice woodland walk which will hopefully show the Autumn colours.
Whilst this is a relatively short walk, it involves a fair amount of ascent for the distance and some of the terrain is hard-going (e.g. some steep and slippery descents).
Whitestone Forest car park SO 524029. Note that we will be starting from the top car park, not the one by the road.
