An easy walk through the quiet backwaters of rural Shropshire taking in farmland, a small wild fowl reserve and the tiny hamlet of Eyton-on-Severn. In an area steeped in history, visit Wroxeter church with its ancient Roman columns, and pass the site of the Roman remains at Viroconium. The walk also includes impressive views of the Wrekin hill and the Stretton hills in the distance before ending at the Horseshoes pub for a well deserved Short and Social gathering with food and or drinks after (optional).
Dogs allowed but must be kept on the lead particularly in the wild fowl area.
Walk is 5½ miles.
Toilets available at the Horseshoes pub.
Park in the overflow car park of the Horseshoes inn.
