Overview

This is a relatively easy walk through Allerthorpe village and on through Allerthorpe Wood. We then head down towards Melbourne and the Pocklington Canal. We then follow Wilberforce Way along the canal taking in Bielby before heading back to Canal Head.

The first half mile requires special care as we walk along the grass verge alongside the busy A1079. Parts of the walk can be boggy and/or muddy.
