Join the York Ramblers for a circular ramble from Ripley.
We begin the walk by following the Nidderdale Way passing through the villages of Clint and Hampsthwaite to reach Birstwith. Leaving the Nidderdale Way to re-cross the River Nidd, we head passed West House Farm to Burnt Yates. Crossing the B6165 we continue to Cowgate Farm where we re-join the Nidderdale Way to Shaw Mills. The walk then continues on the Nidderdale Way before leaving it to go up to Hill Top, across the B6165 again, passed Whipley Hall and Park Lodge, then rejoin the Nidderdale Way and return to the Ripley Castle Car Park.
