Welcome to Market Drayton Ramblers. We walk in Shropshire and the surrounding counties. There are walks every Sunday (8 - 10 miles) and Tuesday (5 - 7 miles).
9.2 miles moderate walk from Llangollen with 1,700 ft ascent. The walk starts along the canal near the Horseshoe Falls before ascending to the high ground below Dinas Bran. It circles Dinas Bran before climbing northwards under the Eglwyseg escarpment with a little exposed scree before descending to the Clwydian Way, going past Valle Crucis Abbey and then down to the canal and back along the towpath.

Parking not far from the Chain Bridge hotel. Cross the bridge in Llangollen and take the A5 towards Corwen. After 1.7 miles just after white timbered house turn right to Ruthin on the B5103 and cross the river. When it joins a road on the left do a sharp left turn. The car park is a little way along this road on the left. All day parking is, I think, £3.
