What we do
Support local communities to protect their rights of way and to ensure accessibility for everyone
This may be working with landowners or developers on improving paths through their land for mutual benefit, including responding to planning applications and negotiating on path diversions.
It may be working with organisations such as Network Rail, National Highways and engineering companies to gain the best outcomes for protecting our countryside around quarries, large solar arrays or new road or rail lines.
Or it may be inputting to local authority plans to ensure consideration of the needs of walkers.
Prepare and submit applications for adding paths to our local definitive maps
This may involve gathering user evidence from the public or searching through historical evidence in the archives. We then follow up with the legal work to fight our case.
