Footpath maintenance 

From time to time, we undertake volunteering work with Surrey County Council to help maintain footpaths, replace damaged stiles with kissing gates and monitor footpath diversion applications plus anything that affects where we walk.

This is optional of course but is very worthwhile and a lot of fun. Please watch for future announcements and to register interest, email our Group Footpath Secretary. 

Leading walks 

While all members are encouraged to lead walks, there is certainly no obligation or pressure to do so. However, many members have embraced the opportunity of leading and enjoy the sense of achievement from taking walkers on some of their favourite routes. It’s not rocket science but recommended training is available along with support from experienced walk leaders. Please email our Group Walk Coordinator — or speak with any Walk Leader.
