Walking in the Chilterns

Welcome to the Wycombe & District Ramblers.  We are a friendly, informal group of around 300 members who enjoy walking in the beautiful Chiltern countryside (AONB) and surrounding area.  We have a comprehensive program of walks throughout the year. These consist of moderate 5 to 7.5 mile walks, and more leisurely ones of 4 to 6 miles, on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday mornings.  In addition, on Sundays we may have a second, longer walk of up to 14 miles.

To get a better idea of what we offer please visit our website - www.wycomberamblers.org.uk.  A list of all our walks is available under the heading 'Our Walks'.  Take a look at our 'Recent Walks' section where our leaders write blogs and provide photos of these activities.   We also have a newsletter issued 3 times a year, copies of which can be viewed under the heading 'Group Matters'.     As well as our walks program we do have occasional social events such as a summer barbeque, a Christmas lunch, and a long weekend away.

Walking with us will provide you with good company, the chance to make new friends, the opportunity to volunteer (as walk leader or footpath checker) and best of all to enjoy our wonderful countryside in all seasons and all weathers!

Campaign with us - protect the places we walk

Walking is a simple pleasure that should be open to everyone, so we campaign to remove barriers to walking and we protect the places we love to wander.
