Hertfordshire Health Walks
Hertfordshire County Council is delighted to have relaunched Covid-19 Safe Health Walks. Come and join us on a free, local, volunteer-led walk!
Please take a look at the Hertfordshire Health Walks website to find your local Health Walk Programme. All Health Walk programmes will show which walks have number restrictions in place and therefore will need pre-booking. If your walk has unrestricted numbers then pre-booking is optional.
To attend or book a Health Walk, you must be a registered walker. If you are new to Health Walks and would to like to join a walk please register here. To pre-book your walks call us on 01992 555888, between the hours of 9-11.30am and 2-3pm, Monday-Friday.
To find out more about the walks, please visit www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/healthwalks.
Hertfordshire Health Walks are free, led, local, health-focused walks happening across the county helping everyone get outdoors, get more active and reap the benefits. There are approximately 45 Hertfordshire Health Walks each week, with thousands of attendances annually, led by hundreds of volunteer Walk Leaders.
Since 2001 Hertfordshire Health Walks have been co-ordinated by Hertfordshire County Council's Countryside Management Service in partnership with many district councils and the County Public Health Department and the NHS.
The Countryside Management Service works with communities in Hertfordshire to help them care for and enjoy the environment. People can join the CMS to get involved in looking after their local countryside and green spaces for wildlife and improving facilities for people to get outdoors for recreation including walking.
