Are you keen to increase your physical activity? Or just want to enjoy some fresh air and meet new people? Join Northumberland's Health Trainer Service as they lead a local Blyth walk every Thursday at 10:30am. There is the choice of two walking routes; one through Ridley Park and the other along Blyth Harbour. The route is usually chosen by the group but is weather dependent.
The Ridley Park walk features woodland areas and is home to formal gardens, including a rose garden and wildflower areas. Blyth Harbour walk features the Port of Blyth, where you can watch sailing boats drift in and out of the quayside.
Both walking routes start at Blyth Library and circle back around to finish here too. At the end, the group enjoys refreshments in the library.
If the weather is particularly bad, the group still meet for a cuppa and a catch up at the library, however this is usually decided on the day.
Anyone is welcome! No booking needed, simply turn up.
