Overview

Come and join the Westmorland and Furness Health and Wellbeing team

for a weekly wellbeing walk. A great way to be active, get outside and improve your wellbeing, through an inclusive, social and friendly walk.  All abilities welcome. We will rest and regroup during the walk as needed.

We have three possible routes available; the route will be decided on the day depending on participants and preference.

WALK 1 DESCRIPTION – A 1.5km walk starting at Penrith Library, along Folly Lane for views of the lakes, and a chance to observe the allotments over the seasons, looping back into town via London Road.

WALK 2 DESCRIPTION- A 4km walk from Penrith Library, along the high street and up Scotland road to Thacka Beck. Looping back through Gilwilly and Castletown allotments to finish at Booths.

WALK 3 DESCRIPTION -  A 5km walk with some elevation, from the library up to cold springs care home, wander though the new nature reserve, exiting at the top of Carlton meadows. Following footbath back to Milner Mount then returning to Library.
