Overview

St Bees Beach Walk starts at St Bees station and then proceeds  along the B5435 road to the Church. We walk through the Sleeping Child Garden in the Church Grounds and admire the  sculptures. Then we walk through the well tended grave yard to the entrance to Priory Paddock – a wild life garden. Then we turn right on to the  Public Footpath 423001 ( the ‘Dandy Walk’). We walk along the Dandy Walk to the junction of Beach Road and Abbey Road. At this point, depending on the group, we can proceed straight to the Beach and the Beach Park, or alternatively walk along Peck Mill  road  to the England Coast path and then take the path to the cliff top and then walk down hill to the Beach Park and Hartley’s Beach Café, where we usually stop for coffee and possible lunch.
