Meet Location: Car Park Higham Village Club
Date: 2nd and 4th Monday of the month
The walk will leave at 10.15am.
The Ramblers Wellbeing Walks in Medway (also known as Medway Health Walks) invite you along to one of our regular walks across the Medway Towns.
First-time participants will be required to complete any outstanding registration processes as advised by the volunteer walk leader.
To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants, we kindly request that everyone adheres to the established guidelines and pre-planned routes, which have been thoroughly mapped, walked, and risk assessed.
We welcome numerous visitors to Medway who join our walks to explore new areas they can revisit independently.
Our walks are designed to promote health and well-being by encouraging physical activity while allowing participants to enjoy their local surroundings in the company of others.
In the absence of a walk leader, we recommend that you proceed with your walk independently to avoid missing out.
Walkers may be informed about key points of interest along the route and any potential hazards.
All our guided walking routes have been risk assessed. While we will try to avoid steep hills, steps, and very muddy or slippery surfaces, participants should be prepared for hills appropriate to the walk’s level, uneven surfaces, and potentially slippery terrain.
Local grade 5/5: Suitable for people looking for more challenging walks. Walks are 90 minutes of walking time and will include slopes that will be challenging, including some wintery mud sections. The walks may also be at a slightly quicker pace.

Post Walk Wellbeing Event:
Following the walk, the group will convene at the local village club for tea, coffee, and conversation. Participation in this post-walk gathering is optional, and attendees will be responsible for purchasing their own refreshments.
Before you join a walk:

Participants in group events are reminded that outdoor activities frequently need specialist equipment (for example boots and waterproofs) and these are not provided.
Participants are responsible for assessing their own risk, the safety of themselves, and the suitability of any equipment used.
Any medical conditions that may affect the participants during the walk should be notified to the group co-ordinator and walk leader before the walk.
