Welcome to the Halton Ramblers group. We organise fortnightly Sunday coaches to the Peak District, Yorkshire Dales, Lake District, North Wales and Shropshire, picking up in Widnes, Runcorn and west Warrington.
Typically four walks of different grades (6 to 15 miles) are offered on each outing. We also, in conjunction with the other groups in the North and Mid-Cheshire Area, organise several full-day and half-day walks each week in these areas and closer to home.
You’re very welcome to try walking with us, or to get involved in looking after paths and green spaces and opening up new places to explore.

Normally 4 walks are offered of different length and ascent. To book, please follow the instructions given on the Halton Group page of the North and Mid Cheshire Area website: https://nmc-ramblers.org.uk/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=29&Itemid=1249 (or go to https://nmc-ramblers.org.uk, then select Halton Group under the Our Groups menu). The cost is £20, or £17 if booked by TWO WEEKS before the walk (i.e. normally by the day of the previous walk). Please note that prices will increase to £23 (or £20 if booked at least two weeks in advance) for walks from January (i.e. Uppermill).
