Bowscale and the plain of Low Mill

This is a lovely walk from Bowscale up to the isolated tarn, returning through the valley via Mosedale and the flood plain of Low Mill. The stony path up the side of Bowscale Fell is a steady gradient but it is good easy walking with excellent views. After crossing the River Caldew the route continues on a quiet country road along the foot of Carrock Fell, then good tracks and road surface around the area of the Plain
