Overview

Reading Blue and Green Walk. Shamelessly stolen from the Reading Walks Festival, this is an attractive circular walk from the middle of town. The blue refers to walking waterside, along the Thames Path and Kennet towpath, which we follow at the start and end of the walk. The green is a largely traffic-free route across Tilehurst and Southcote, via the woodland and parkland of Arthur Newbery Park, McIlroy Park, Lousehill Copse and Prospect Park, with some unexpected panoramic views.1 stile, 500ft of ascent.
