Overview

This is a joint coach trip with Slough U3A to visit Winchester. The Christmas market will be there plus a good selection of shops. There are also museums, town and military, art galleries and the magnificent cathedral.

For those who want to explore, David and Joyce will be offering the Viaduct Walk of 5 miles leaving from the City Centre. Opened in 1891, the Hockley Viaduct was part of the Didcot to Southampton railway. It has in recent years been restored and is now open as a walkway/cycle route. The walk will take about 2.5 hours.
