Our weekly Wednesday walk place in and around the coastline of Teignmouth. The walks take between 60 to 90 minutes with time to pause to take in the scenery, flora & fauna, local history or to simply rest for a moment. Sometimes walks are led further afield, with advance group discussion & notice. Regular friendly group walks usually with a cuppa at some point, are at the heart of Walk This Way Wellbeing Walks. Our social walks take place in Teignbridge local district areas, often taking in open spaces, parks, woodlands, and nature reserves. We have three levels of walks to choose from depending on how you feel and your ability. Grade 1 walks are suitable for most abilities. Grade 2 are slightly longer duration and can include some uneven ground and inclines. Grade 3 walks are more demanding and longer duration of up to 90 minutes walking, on uneven ground and include inclines. Please arrive approximately 10 minutes ahead of walk start times especially if you are a new walker to the group. We recommend wearing sturdy comfortable footwear. A Walker Registration Form will need to be completed before taking part in the walks, either in advance or at your first walk. We suggest walkers carry an ICE card (In Case of Emergency) with information to include your name, your emergency contact name, & their contact number, and any of your medical conditions you wish to share. We provide you with one of these to complete. A register is taken before each walk begins.
