We are based in North Ayrshire where we walk the hills, glens and shores that are our beautiful local environment. We go further afield to enjoy both the variety of challenging high level walks and to discover the history and geography of well-informed leisurely walks so our programme includes trips to castles, gardens and an abundance of curiosities that we discover as we go.
We chat as we walk and take breaks for tea and lunch. We take it easy on ‘easy’ walks and as strength and determination increase, we provide navigation training and encouragement for walkers to build up to our more ‘strenuous’ walks. All of our walks at these different levels are led by trained walk leaders and full information is given about exact locations, with times, distances and enough information for walkers to choose walks to suit themselves.
Saturdays and Sundays are our walking days and we share cars to offer lifts to the start of walks.
New walkers are welcome to walk with us three times without the need to become a member. This is our offer to encourage people to discover just how good it feels physically and mentally to get out in the fresh air and enjoy the natural world.
