Support us

Whether you fundraise, donate or volunteer, together we can help keep Britain walking.

Help bring the joy of walking to all

At the Ramblers, walking is at the heart of everything we do.

Along with our committed volunteers, we work tirelessly to open up paths, protect green spaces, and support everyone to enjoy the outdoors, no matter their background or ability.

But we can’t do this without your support.

By fundraising, donating or volunteering for the Ramblers, you’re joining a community of walkers who are making a real difference to places like Carmarthenshire and people like Marika

Why fundraise for the Ramblers?

Every very pound you raise, helps us:

  • Protect and maintain paths and green spaces so everyone can enjoy safe, accessible walking routes.
  • Champion access for all making it easier for people from every background to experience the joy of being outdoors
  • Support volunteers and groups who are keeping our local areas connected to nature.
  • Promote walking for health and wellbeing, helping people feel happier, healthier, and more connected to their communities.

How you can get involved

There are lots of ways to fundraise or show your support, and you can choose what works for you.

Every fundraiser and donation makes a difference

Here’s what your support can do:

  • £10 could help fund national campaigns to protect and expand everyone’s right to access the outdoors.
  • £25 could help fund urgent casework when there are legal threats to treasured places and paths.
  • £50 could provide essential tools so our path maintenance teams can keep paths clear and accessible for everyone to enjoy.

Donate today

Your donations keep walking in nature open, accessible, and joyful for everyone, including Nick who has written about his experience of overcoming chronic illness through accessible walking:

"From November 2023, I was bedbound in a pitch-black, silent room 24-7 for 18 months.

I had the severest form of myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME), also known as chronic fatigue syndrome, a neglected and stigmatised chronic health condition. I could usually only whisper a few words a day and at points had to be spoon-fed.

Thankfully, I’m doing much better now, and I want to talk about how joining the Ramblers has helped me begin to rebuild my life..."

"My story shows anyone struggling that it can get better."
