Programme for the day
The morning walk starts at 10:00 from the recreation ground - approx 5 miles. Lunch is about 12:30. This will be followed at about 13:45 - 14:00 with a few short speeches and CAKE and for those that wish, an afternoon walk setting off about 14:30, starting from the pub car park. Approx 5 miles. Throughout the lunchtime, there will be a slideshow of photos from our archives projected onto the screen in the barn.
Lunch options
We have sole use of the barn and can accommodate up to 42 diners. Pre-ordering is essential for those wishing to eat in the barn. OR You may choose to order food [and drinks] at the bar on arrival, eat elsewhere in the pub or in the garden and join us in the barn for cake and speeches. OR You may wish to eat your snacks or sandwiches elsewhere and join us in the barn for cake and speeches.

We offer friendly company on our walks. Our walks range in length and pace. We have 5-7 mile half-day walks with moderate and brisker speeds on Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays, a 4 mile leisurely walk on Fridays and an all-day walk on Sundays with a longer lunchbreak (up to an hour). Members may also enjoy using the Ramblers app on their smartphone. It is easy to download and install and will allow you see walks in the area and even get directions to the starting point.
