Public consultation to view plans regarding the replacement of the level crossing at the top of Moorgate Street. It is to be held on Thursday 28th November. Network Rail do not want to put in a footbridge as they have done with level crossings in Tameside. They want to upgrade path 244 some 30metres towards Greenfield Station, They aim to spend between £200,000 and £500,000 whereas a footbridge would cost between 1.2 to 4.3 million. The R.A. have been fighting this rejection of a footbridge for 18 months and this is an opportunity for members and the general public to have their say.
