Chiltern Weekend Walkers Walks Festival 2023

I am pleased to announce our “CWW Festival of Walks”.  This exciting all-day event will take place from and around Penn Street, near Amersham on Sunday 17th September!  Featuring:

• The first walk starting at 9.30am;
• 5 Walks throughout the day;
• Two 4-6 milers;
• Two longer walks (8-10m);
• An all-day 14-mile “challenge”;
• All gather for a picnic and drink on the green (near the War Memorial) at 1.00pm;
• Drinks in the Squirrel Pub afterwards

Festivities start at 9:30am, when our first walk leaves.  Walking will generally adjourn between 1pm and 2pm where there is a chance for everyone to get together for our (bring your own) picnic lunch on the green. Sweet treats, soft drinks will be provided by the Committee - it would be helpful if you could bring your own cup/plate.  There is no need to pre-book for anything else taking place that day!

Note that everyone is welcome – CWW members, associates and prospective Ramblers members alike – bring your friends and family too so they can see what we get up to!  Even if you are not planning to walk at all that day, why not come along and join us for the picnic and/or the pub afterwards?

Note: Times for walks are the setting off time, so please aim to be at the meeting point at least 10 minutes beforehand to put your boots on etc.
