Overview

Area Annual General Meeting:  Claire Watkins , Ramblers East Midlands Liaison Officer will Chair the meeting.

Lucy Robinson, Chair of the Ramblers Trustees, will give a short talk on the Trustee/Board role within the Ramblers.  There will be two presentations:  Martin Bennett, Area Access/Footpath Secretary, and Bernard Caddy, Derbyshire Ramblers DLYW Coordinator.

Item 3 on the Agenda will be the Review of Annual Reports and Accounts and Group Reviews.

There will also be the usual pre-AGM walk- see Walks Programme for details.There will also be the usual pre-AGM walk, led by Howard Arthur, Amber Valley Ramblers. 

Starting point: Field Lane Car Park Time: 10.30 am, 5.5-6 miles.  The route is a mixture of footpaths & quiet lanes, with a small number of stiles. We take a short section through Belper towards Long Row & Triangle , past the mill and over the bridge to Wyver Lane.   Continue along Wyver Lane, follow the bridleway to Belper Lane End.  We climb to Longwalls Lane, & through Handley Wood, towards Blackbrook. We will pick up Plains Lane, & return to Belper via the riverside footpath.  The finishing point is in close proximity to the town centre. 

There will be enough time after the walk for people to get lunch before the AGM. There are several cafes/pubs close to the finish to eat/purchase lunch.
