Rosedale Abbey’s industrial history belies its stunning natural beauty – once a thriving home to 5,000 miners at its peak, Rosedale Abbey is now a place to enjoy peace & tranquillity, fresh Yorkshire air and a delightful community spirit.
Located in Rosedale, a steep valley home to the rivers Seven and Rye, Rosedale Abbey is a picture-perfect village that captivates visitors from the moment they arrive. The surroundings offer an array of outdoor experiences, from leisurely walks to challenging hikes. If you’re an enthusiast of the great outdoors, Rosedale Abbey provides the ideal base for exploring the majestic Moors.
Our coach from Newcastle will drop parties of walkers and leaders at their starting point and all walks will finish at our common destination. There will be a choice of walks - graded Easy, Leisurely, Moderate and Strenuous for you to choose from. Details of the walks can be downloaded from the Wednesday Boulevard Coach section of the Tyneside website, usually from the Monday evening before. Copies will also be passed round the coach on the day.
Refreshments will be available at the end of the walks before the return to Newcastle.
