The head of Allendale close to the roads over to Weardale and Nentdale. There are high Commons to explore and walks along the River Allen with its heritage of quarries above steepsided valley
Our coach from Newcastle drops parties of walkers & leaders at their starting point Every week there is a choice of walks - Easy, Leisurely, Moderate and Strenuous for you to choose from. Details of the walks each week can be downloaded on www.ramblers.org/tyneside - Wednesday Hancock Coach from the Mon pm before and are passed round the coach.
