Overview

On the river Wear, Bishop Auckland is the historic seat of the Bishop of Durham with its castle, deer park and Roman sites nearby. There is rolling country to walk through and old railways you can enjoy.   It offers a wide choice of walks in all directions.

Our coach from Newcastle drops parties of walkers & leaders at their starting point.  Every week there is a choice of walks - Easy, Leisurely, Moderate and Strenuous for you to choose from.   Details of the walks each week can be downloaded on  www.ramblers.org/tyneside - Wednesday Hancock Coach  from the Mon pm before and are passed round the coach.

Are you a new walker and want to try a walk ring 07816 176959 to reserve a seat.

Refreshments are always available at the end of the walks before the return to Newcastle.

The coach leaves Claremont Road NE2 4PT at 10:00
