Overview

We leave The Flower Pots Inn for this walk to the north west of Cheriton, passing the 12th C church to follow the Itchen Way to Cheriton Mill. There are four stiles on this section - all stable and in good condition. A quiet road takes us to Tichborne, whose unusual church we pass to head south west along open tracks towards, but not reaching, Gander Down.

Turn east towards Hill Houses along good tracks through a woodland and open farmland, then round another field to return to The Flower Pots and lunch. There are four stiles.
