Overview

An afternoon walk from Witcombe and Bentham Village Hall to see the progress of the A417 Missing Link works. The walk ascends via Bentham to the Air Balloon and on to Crickley Hill before descending back to the start. Refreshment stop.  Meet inside the village hall - or bring a picnic lunch to eat there before the walk. The morning "Centre of Gloucestershire" walk (10am start) will connect to this afternoon walk for those wishing to do both.

The walk is part of the Gloucestershire Ramblers Walking Together event featuring a variety of walks throughout the day. Members and prospective members are welcome to join any walk. Refreshments available after the walk at the village hall, hosted by Cheltenham Rambling Club.

Witcombe and Bentham Village Hall, Pillcroft Road, Little Witcombe, GL3 4TB. Meet inside the hall. If arriving by Bus 10 from Gloucester, the stop is Shurdington Road opposite Toby's Restaurant. From Cheltenham, the stop is at the Delta by Marriott Hotel. Take the footpath to the left of the Marriott Driveway, next to the mural-painted utility box. It leads to the Village Hall.
