This fairly lengthy walk explores the rugged terrain of the West Yorkshire/Lancashire border. You will see what makes up the bones of this striking area - moors, water, stone and forest, and learn how they shaped the North's industrial past.
Moorland walking can be somewhat exposed and occasionally muddy and walkers are advised to dress appropriately for the forecast. Bring a packed lunch to enjoy al fresco. This is a sensitive landscape for lambing and ground-nesting birds so dogs must be kept under close control.
